  • If it means your dog's continued health, then air out the bedroom the best you can and put up with it for another week. I imagine the poor doggie getting an infection would be far worse than being stinky for a while.
  • if anything just get a wet washcloth and wipe her coat down. dont use soap.
  • I would do exactly what the vet instructed to avoid problems. Rub your dog down with cornstarch, then clean it out with a towel. The cornstarch will absorb oil and odor.
  • try to wait at least 1-2 days after the surgery at that time you can give a bath but you need to put vasaleen on the suture site first pat dry do not rub
  • My pit smelled too its the brown stuff they put on the cut to help it heal. NO BATH!! Just grab a wet wash cloth and wipe her down. DO NOT get her wound wet. I cleaned around the area so that it didn't stink so bad but don't touch the cut. Infections could lead to other things.
