Matters how lazy my parents are. Every year varies.

The day after Thanksgiving -- or maybe the day following that, depending on how tired I am from shopping. :-)
-
Either the week of Thanksgiving or the week after. I love decorating with lights and like to have them up as long as possible.
-
Usually about the first week in Dec. with all it takes to decorate I want to enjoy it for as long as I can....especially for my granddaughter. This is my first Christmas that she hasn't lived here and I am going to be so sad Christmas morning not to get to see her face:(
-
We'll....I'll have to say that I never take down the tree because its just a bit to heavy for me to carry. See I put decorations on a 74 foot tall tree that is outside of my house. This way many can see the lights from miles away. I'll began putting up the lights about the 2nd week of Dec:..........Plus 3 for your question.......M.C.S.

I normally put the decorations up the first week of Christmas. They come down boxing day or the day after.

Growing up, my parents put the tree up within a couple days of(or the day before) Christmas and took it down just after... The decorations didn't stay up any longer than that either...

Christmas Eve, and they come back down on 6th January, because that's the traditional 12 days of Christmas. But then I'm in the UK and old fashioned like that.
-
Around Thanksgiving (United States). My wife accuses me of waiting until it is very cold outside to put up the decorations. I turn them off after New Year's Day and take them down as the weather permits.

1st week of December ha!

The day after thanksgiving! its a whole weekend of no school, and hopefully no work. Gives lots of time to make a tree!
-
I no longer put up any Christmas decorations because I am too lazy and there are no children in the house. When I was younger, my parents used to put up the Christmas decorations around the first week of December. I am sure that when I have kids, I will put up lights and a big tree but not now.
-
We usually put up the tree right after Thanksgiving. It's kind of a tradition in our home.
-
wow - these answers are making me feel like I'm pretty much hopeless... I actually have halloween decorations I may get to putting up tomorrow! For Christmas I usually shoot for Dec 15th. My cats drive me nuts trying to knock everything down, and I really don't celebrate here, I always go to relatives for Christmas eve and Christmas day.
-
When I could still do it, it was shopping the day after Thanksgiving and putting up the tree the next day.
