I love them! I think, as long as you accept them as biased they are a great read with great angles!
-
gossips.

The quality of reporting you could expect from British newspapers used to easy to determine; the broadsheets gave quality reporting and the tabloids tended toward the trashy. However, it isn't so clear-cut any longer because a lot of the better newspapers are now published in tabloid form. My opinion of tabloid newspapers that regularly use paparazzi photographs and have an over-reliance on the doings of so-called celebrities is that they are trash and I wouldn't waste my money on them.

They pass the time nicely while I'm at the checkout counter. You thought I was actually going to buy that rubbish?

Richard Simmons in the nude with cheese.

I think they're slanderous rags but I must respect freedom of the press. I know alot of people enjoy them.
-
they make a mockery of real journalism. And yet, I find myself reading them as I stand in line at the grocery store.
-
They are a cheap means to exploit people.
-
I think that as long as you take everything that's written in them with a pinch of salt, then they can be lots of fun to read (The Sun, for example is often hilarious). However, I think it's pretty terrible when tabloids print stories about people which they know are untrue. That isn't journalism to me, it's just the spreading of malicious gossip.
-
they are frivalous and improper.

Comics. Worse than cheap women's magazines like Take-A-Break (altho I do read those...). It's fun to read rubbish sometimes, but don't beleive everything!
-
I enjoying flipping through them while wait in line at the grocery store. Especially if the person in front of me is stocking up, and I have about 10 minutes to kill. I always look for the follow-up story on the Batboy!

Useless. Loss. Of time. I honestly think that such entertainment is a loss of time and privacy violation for so many HUMAN beings. Actors and musicians indeed put themselves up for that by becoming famous, but I sincerely think it should NOT be like that. To gossip about them showing up in this or that dress at the oscars is alright because they were invited to an event where media attend and it's ok to see who brought who etc... But filming them bathing in their backyards over the fence or following them in their everyday life should be illegal in some way and reported to the police for stalking and privacy invasion.
-
Trash. All they do is make up rubbish that the stupid people believe, so they can make money of people's ignorance.

You know, I was looking at the supermarket tabloids as I was waiting in the checkout line last Saturday and I noticed a couple of headlines on one of them that just made me laugh. I can't remember which one it was now, but in big bold letters across the top one declared that Armageddon is closer than we think. The prophecies are being fulfilled. The end is nye. Yada, yada, yada. Then the was the headline for one of the lesser stories in the same wrag, 10 foods that can add years to your life. Do they even think about what they are putting together in these things? In big bold letters they tell us that the world is coming to an end and then they tell us how to add years to our lives!!! [Rolls eyes] I find it astounding that anybody believes some of these things. I get a bit of a laugh out of reading the headlines, but that is as far as it goes for me.
-
Something to pass the time, if I'm waiting for an appointment. Otherwise, I don't read them. And if there are better magazines, I will pick those first.
-
I never buy them. I never read them. The headlines I get to read while I'm in line at my grocery store are already too much for me. Cheap gossip mixed with sensasionalist news and dumbing stories. UH!
-
Just another way to make money.

Shite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better for the train

For the most part, they are a brain rotting waste of paper.
