yes i think people do that a lot...but sometimes they get me thinking a little. if i answer them, i dont generally award points for them. (and no i dont think this is one of these questions)
-
Yeah, there's good points to be earned in that. I answer them anyway. It doesn't really matter.
-
I answer the ones I want to irregardless of whether or not it is an attempt to get points.
-
that thought never crossed my mind...
-
If its worth answering I will answer:)

I do not feel it matters the reason they ask questions. There is no guarantee anyone will answer and no guarantee they will get points. So I would have to disagree that points are why they ask. I think it is more like they are looking for either attention or a way to fit in with others on this site. I am sure some of the questions are in search for knowledge but still it should not matter. If you do answer you have just as many chances as they do for asking to get points. So it is a win win situation if points mean anything to you.

Just as this can happen in all aspects of life some people seem to enjoy playing. Just as in life the fools will trip themselves up. In the meantime we get to practice our thought sharing.
-
I feel like that a lot. Some of the questions are so boring, people just ask them for the sake of asking.
-
You'e proabl;y right but I answer anything. I need the points
-
You are of course quite right about the reason a lot of questions are asked they are the ones that people neither read not rate. It is a waste of time answering them but i do anyway just because there are so few decent questions to answer.
-
I have thought that same thing, yes. - I just answer the questions that mean something to me.
