  • Yeah, you totally can.
  • Absolutely!!!! I work in psychiatry and we have patients come in every week from attempted overdoses on this substance. It is the main ingredient in Benadryl and can cause breathing to shut down. Tylenol and diphenhydramine are the most common drugs that teens use to OD with.
  • Yes, you can die of an overdose. FYI - cops don't normally lie about this kind of thing to a school full of students. "Considerable overdosage can lead to myocardial infarction (heart attack), serious ventricular dysrhythmias, coma and death." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diphenhydramine
  • Theoretically - yes. In a practical method, I don't know. Anything is toxic, though, in enough quantities. Even water.
  • yes you can! You can overdose on any kind of drugs be they prescribed, illegal, or over the counter. Please always follow the directions and take as the box says or as the doctor has ordered. And as for the illegal drugs, I hope I don't have to tell you twice to stay away from the stuff.
  • Yes one can die from an over dose of diphenhydramine. Symptoms of an OD can be found here: http://www.umm.edu/ency/article/002636sym.htm As you can see it can lead to a few issues, like coma, rapid heart rate, etc. For an already weakened body or a person with hidden or undiagnosed issues its not to far of a step to death. Given the right person, say one with a sensitivity to it, death could be immediate via Anaphylaxis (AKA Anaphylactic Shock/Reaction - or a severe allergic reaction): http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000844.htm#Definition
  • Yes, you can. If you take too much your body can relax to the point of having your heart stop. Even for the OTC ones. Especially if you have a heart condition. Remember you can over dose on pretty much anything including water and oxygen.
