Emma I don't think anyone has a right to spread lies about anybody even if they are not well liked. However I have not seen a single thing yet that anyone has said about you in a negative way that was not 100% true. If you expect to be treated decently you need to act decently. Coming on a site like this one where the membership is at a minimum 60% American and criticizing Americans their government and the U.S. foreign policy is not going to win you a whole lot of friends. Especially when they know you are neither a citizen nor have ever lived in the U.S. Coming here asking the type of inflamitory questions you ask about The United States and then refusing to listen to anyones point of view except those who are in agreement and making fun of people who have different views as you is not going to win you very many friends. If you expect to be treated in a decent manor and be respected you have to treat others decently and you shall be treated likewise. Obviously though from what I have seen of your posts you like to be rude crass ignorant make fun of others but when you're attacked for it all of a sudden everyone is ganging up on poor Emma. I don't expect you to change your opinions of what you think or believe to be true. I respect your very right to believe as you will about any subjecxt you have commented on. But you need to start learning to respect others right to have opposing opinions to yours even if you don't agree with them. Once you learn to do that maybe you will find people being less hostile towards you.

No it's not fair. However, you know they are lies, just ignore the lies and liars. You know the truth and they know that they are lying. When you ignore them they will feel silly and in no time the rumours and lies will die down.

Emma, please listen to me. If you are going to express highly unpopular opinions, others are going to react. They are even going to pop off with some VERY untrue things. Yes. You should encourage them. See if you can suggest some things that seem true to them but is obviously nonsense to anyone who really knows you. (Be VERY careful about how you go about this.) Soon they will lose all credibility and that will leave you free to do as you like without worrying about what they say. ;)
