Why do we work so hard to simply be stressed about how hard we work? Are we being conned into thinking we NEED all these 'things' in our lives? How many of us earn enough anymore to have REAL benefits?

What a great question! There does seem to be an almost desperate quality to people's pursuit of material things. I am reminded of that every year when the Christmas season begins. Somehow, there seems to be this thought that if we just have enough stuff, we'll be happy. It's a hole that will never be filled, but we keep chasing our tails around trying to do it anyway. The irony is that the long hours spent working to pay the bills represents the loss of time away from loved ones that is probably causing the need for so many material things!!
