<br > is an HTML tag to space the information on a website out(like the Return/Enter key).

The "br" simply means to force line break. At first i don't quite understand the phrase, but now i know.

</br> means basically starting a new line on websites like myspace. There are lots of codes like this to make words go bigger, smaller, italic, bold etc. e.g: <i> = italic </i> = stop italic <b> = bold </b> = stop bold etc. type in 'myspace codes'* and click on one of the websites to find out more codes. *even if its not for myspace it probably will work, but to be extra safe type in the name of the website and then 'codes'.
