When you tell a story of something that happened to you, do you embellish it or tell it exactly the way it happened?

i keep all the details the same but i do tend to tell it in a dramatic way as possible

i don't like telling other people about things that have happened to me, or about my inner self, especially face to face, so i tend to tell it straight out and exactly how it was and then change the subject as quickly as possible. on the other hand if it was an exciting story and there was nothing negative or painful about it i tend to make it sound as interesting as possible while sill sticking to the main facts.

I tell the truth, but I try to make it entertaining. There's many different ways to tell the whole story, truthfully. You just have to find a way that plays to the audience.
