Ive been with my man for about a yr and he wants to move to phoenix, where his family lives. my family is here in fl about 8 hrs away, im not sure if i want to live that far away from my family, but the finances in our city aren't good, what should i do?

Compromise! Move somewhere which is aprox 4h from both places.

Give it a try for a specified period, say 6 or 12 months and see how it goes to be away from your family. Plan to go back for a visit in about 2-3 months and see if you missed them as much as you thought you would. Keep a separate bank account with enough money in it to go home just in case things don't work out with the boyfriend, because then you would really be stranded. Are they putting pressure on you not to move? Or is it just that you are close and think you will miss them too much?

Give it a shot, phoenix has a higher standard of living than your city, plus you'll spend some quality time with ur man

With air travel now the difference in 8 hrs by car or three by air make it relatively the same. Phoenix is pretty nice and opportunities are better I'm sure than in Florida without the hurricanes. If you are serious about this guy go for it, if you are unsure about the potential for marriage, etc., then stay in FLorida with your family.

Make a list of pros and cons and weigh it. I always use a spreadsheet and create two columns. My worries stopped right there.
