  • Personally, I think he looked like a not-particularly-remarkable man of Hebrew descent. Probably fairly muscular, with rough hands (he was a carpenter, after all), a beard, curly dark hair, and dark eyes with laugh lines at the corners. I have always envisioned Jesus with a somewhat dry, sarcastic sense of humour.
  • Jesus looked just like God ... in character. That's what "the Son of God" means. As for physical appearance, I'd have to echo Alyson's view (except for maybe the dry saracstic sense of humor), with the one addition that - according a long standing oral tradition, he looked a lot lke his brother James. He also may have been pretty small even for the time - as Mary Magdalene offers to carry his body back personally when she thinks it's been moved.
  • The Bible does not say a great deal about His physical appearance so mostly we offer conjecture based on the fact he was a Hebrew and a man of His time. The prophet Isaiah did say this though, Ch 53: V 2 "he had no form or comeliness that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. " So perhaps he was not an attractive man, as we consider what is handsomeness but the important thing about Jesus is not how he looked, but what He did. Do we consider how handsome a war hero is before we pin a medal on his chest? Jesus paid for the sin of man with His own blood. We know what that looked like! It was red.
