Do you think people who ask questions but never comment on your answers are just people who just want points because they feed their egos off getting a high rank?

Not really, I don't comment on every answer. Only if clarification is needed or I feel compelled to say something because I found it funny or wanted to clarify, etc.

I doubt it. You can't put AB Sage on you resume or redeem the points here for any great prizes and trips. Maybe people don't comment on answers because they have nothing to add. A thank you or some acknowledgment would be nice, though.

No, not "just". While some of those people might qualify, that's too general a statement. In my opinion they're missing a lot when they don't comment or like to know more about the person anwering. Many of those are the "Just-the-facts-m'am" kind. Also, not only high-ranked ABers do it.

Could be laziness, could be they don't look at the answers. I know some people don't even give points for the answers they receive.

I seldom comment. Not on answers or questions. I will comment if more needs to be said. If there is nothing more to say why should I waste someones time? No one off of AB has any idea of my rank here, nor would they care. People here on AB know my rank, but not me. There is no place for an ego trip to go.

I don't mind if they don't comment on my answers unless I've been answering them for a long, long time. That's when it begins to really bother me enough that I will no longer answer their Q's. +5
