What was the name of the first American tank involved in action in WWI?

    There were no american tanks involved in the first world war though the plans for the Light Tank M3 (british verion was the Stuart) were being considered, the plans were not finalized until well after the war's end.

    From my knowledge I dont think America had any tanks in WWI the first tank was invented by the British the Mk IV tank and the French Renault tank I dont think we had developed any of our own tanks but the French provided Renault tanks to the U.S. and most likely the British also contributed hope this helps.
