Yeah, I noticed that too. They just by-pass Thanksgiving.
-
Working in retail I can. They want that stuff out as soon as it hits the store. Drives me nuts. I don't know how I'm going to stand Cristmas music for the next two months.
-
Its kind of anoying...when I used to work in a mall I knew it was time for doom when bath and body works started putting out there xmas stuff.. every year it gets 2 weeks earlier..soon we are going to have next years stuff in august.
-
I can believe it, but I'd prefer not to. I love the Halloween stuff, I wish they'd leave it out longer.
-
Yes I can, and I know for a fact. I work in a huge Superstore that sells everything. They started putting out Xmas wrapping paper a month ago! And they started putting out the Halloween costumes and candy in August!
-
No.
-
It shouldn't start until after Thanksgiving. It's crazy man! +5
-
That is only the half of it..I used to work at Walmart and they have secret codes on their Christmas merchandise so that no one can spy and let the competition know.
-
Its about their bottomline or GREED.
-
October maybe but now...no way
-
Yes I think so its so they can start selling stuff and making money now.
-
NO
-
Totally insane... However with the economy the way it is stores are a bit desperate for sure..
-
Totally, but profits rule business. If I ruled, Christmas items would not be seen until around Thanksgiving.
-
they will have it stocked for the wineter time.
-
iunderstand the need to get a jump on the competition, but yah, gimme a break!
-
It's very ridiculous.
-
God..it gets on your damn nerves...
-
Thats why people get sick of christmas by the time it gets here.
-
I love Christmas the whole idea of people actually being nice to each other is great, it's a be happy and thankful holiday. But as usually our society has turned it into something else and a way to make money. Yes it is ridiculous and an embarrassment.
-
+5 It has been a hard year for me and I need to be reminded of Gods love for us. I am glad to see it
-
Every year it gets earlier and earlier. Yes it is ridiculous!
-
Yes, but Stores make most of their profit from christmas shopping so they try to stock up early to catch the early birds. + 5
-
I refuse to look at it till Thanksgiving. Is is completely ridiculous.
-
I haven't seen Christmas items yet, but I can't believe Halloween costumes, candy and decorations are in stores now.
-
That is ridiculous. I haven't really seen any Christmas stuff out yet where I live.
-
it's beginning to look a lot like christmas as i ran in to get my sunscreen. joy all around boy toys to be found as i modeled my new bikini for him. hehe
-
No. Tell the store when you feel like this. I told the owner of a family-owned store that I was offended by the premature Christmas merchandise and decorations. He asked me why and I explained that it's exploitation of a religious holiday. He understood when I compared it to holiday of his own faith.
-
this country is fascinated with this holiday. Ailsa a ice cream truck was playing jungle bells today..16 weeks to it though, so what are you getting me, hopefully a plane ticket ..my queen..
-
Yes, I hate it and I think that it puts pressure on people too soon about the worries and expense of Christmas
-
I read the article. I wonder if it is really "We wouldn't (do) it now unless we thought there was a market for it."? Or perhaps it truly is 'Sales were so bad in 2008 we are trying to unload this before the new merchandise comes in.'?
-
With the exception of for my son, I refuse to celebrate christmas. Let them rape other peoples wallets.
