i think you should always try some things like this (unless you are 16 and live with your parents). It's important thing in this matter for you to be a very independent person, prepared that it might not work. After all, you will change your life completely, no friends and family and support that you are maybe used to. I think that you should try, hope that you will love it, but not give yourself too much into it. The best thing is to follow your inner voice and be brave. Insted, you will see many years passing by, you turn around and at one moment see what you could have achieved in life... Be brave, I wish you all the best with this man.

I would suggest visiting California first - there are several different areas and they each have pro's and con's. I've never lived there, but visited parts of the state and it was beautiful; but it does have a nice price tag that goes with it. It could be a new adventure, so if you're up for it...just do it.

Visit parts of CA to see if you like it or not. I presume that you both have enough money to live there since you fly back and forth to see each other. I always liked the idea of "try before you buy". So test it out if you dont like it there talk with him about it. Sounds like you have a good idea of what to do from your comments of others. - As for the family thing your right they have their lives and you have yours. Just don't cut them out of your life so calling them and visiting once in a while is important. Best wishes for you. :-D Oh I also lived in the San Jose area for 6 years and it was very enjoyable.

California is nice. I've been to SF, LA and SAC and they were all good. I would recommend that you visit the places you'd like to stay prior to commiting... Good luck Tinks :)

I highly recommend the Monterey area. I love it there. It's beautiful. Wish I could live there myself.
