Why is it some people put old pictures of themselves as their avatars instead of current ones?

Because they dont take photos frequently, like me, or their older photo might just be better

It could be because they like that particular photo or that they don't have a more recent one. My photo is new if that makes a difference. lol I almost put one from a few years ago, before I had my son, but decided, "what the hell", I'll just put this one. I like being me. :)

I am not photogenic and that is the only pic of me that is decent....it is 4 years old and there it will stay.

Sometimes the photo brings back a good memory...and it makes them smile.

People can put whatever picture they like ... maybe they just like the picture they chose better than the more recent ones they have, they can always upload a different one and switch ... mine is from Feb., 2007, so although it is not right up to date, it is still fairly recent.

You see, the older pictures look younger, and the newer pictures look older. Sucks, but that's how she works!
