How about some scarecrows dressed up. Or ghosts. Fake cobwebs.

I have to admit that I am no good at Arts & Crafts so I will be doing things that need very little skill to make. :) Directions would be very helpful! More stuff like this (with patterns!) would be awesome. I'm going to try a few of these -- http://skulladay.blogspot.com/2007/08/72-papercraft-skull-with-articulated.html http://ravensblight.com/papertoys.html

A day late and a dollar short, but maybe you can use this next year. I live on the back side of a house (which means that the kiddies have to walk through the woods to get to my door). I cleared a path and lit it with tea lights in mason jars and other assorted glasses. It got tons of compliments and looked really cool.

Oh, another thing you can do is go to the dollar store and get those small, assorted plastic reptiles, or the eyeball bouncy balls and a pack of yellow highlighters. Go to Goodwill and get a couple vases. You can use glitter, too. Put a few lizards or eyeballs down in a vase, fill it with water to about 2/3 full. Cut open the highlighter and let it bleed into the water. It should glow under black light and will look like pickled eyeball, lizard, etc. This is pretty cool.

Get some sheets, make them to look like ghosts, get a fan to slowly oscillate then make a tape recording of spooky sounds. Perhaps have a strobe light going off somewhere near the porch too.
