I check them out to see if they are "casing the place", but usually it's just someone or a bunch of people walking through.

From a safe distance let them know you see them. I would pack my gun and keep the phone nearby just in case. *I hope everything is okay!*

I watch them closely and get scared so I keep the phone right by me,lol.

i run up to them, touch them, yeall out "tag your it" and run in tiny circles telling them "ha ha ha ha, you can't catch me now..." and then just walk away.

I let them know I watching them by just staring...and see where they go. I pretend there is someone in my house by yelling "I will be there in a minute" so they think I am not alone.

I watch where they are going, if they are visiting someone on the block and make a mental note for when I see them again. If they look like they are doing something suspicious, I'll watch them and call police if they do something out of line. If I see them looking in cars, etc., I might go outside and in a subtle way let them know I see them and that they are noticed, I may even start talking to them, ask them questions, who they are visiting. Most honest people don't have difficulties with basic questions while criminals often do.
