  • I started my first job just after I turned seventeen, and I was a busboy at the local buffet restaurant (Cactus Willie's, in the mall) making $5.50 an hour plus scarce tips from the servers.
  • I was 16 years old and started as a kennelmaid for a trainer in greyhound racing and my wage was £9.00 a week.
  • 15 - mini market shelf stacker and meat and cheese counter assistant. Christ I hated that job. Three summers of it, 6am start every day for 3 months (NO day off), 56 hours per week, and slave wages!
  • When I was 16 I got my first job at our ghetto mcdonalds.
  • I was 17 & I worked at the IRS for 11 years
  • I was 15 and worked "under the table" until I was 25 years old.
  • I started bussing tables on the weekends when I was 13 (almost 14). I hated it, but made such good money bussing that I started serving when I was sixteen, then cocktail serving at 18. I turn 21 in a couple months, and will then transition to tending bar. The restaurant business is a good job to have while going to school. I go to school during the day and work at night. It is funny how things turn out, I guess.
