  • No, because this would create a lot of complications. Not all people that are labeled as sex offenders deserve their label. They may have had sex with someone a few years younger than them, or there may be other circumstances. (in some states if a 14 year old has sex with a 12 year old they are required to register as a sex offender when they turn 18. There is nothing distinguishing these kids from pedophiles.) Obviously this may result in people crashing into these people on purpose, shooting at them, etc. Because of this, innocent passengers may be killed or injured. If someone has to borrow the car, than they also can be injured. I do think that there should be some way to better identify and keep track of those that really deserve it, but I will be the first to admit that I have no brilliant Ideas. I do not want people that molested children to be on our streets, especially given my childhood, but even if we labeled all the people that we caught, it would give people a false sense of security, that no one else was molesting children.
  • yes they should have special tags as this would id them if they are travelling near a school parents would be aware to keep an eye on this vehicle and this is the strongest derrent i can thingk of one person stated violence against these individuals in texas offenders have to id the address of where they live there has never been an issue with this in the past causing problems at their home there should be no problem on the streets next time you are at a school when classes let out ask yourself do i know who is the predator in the parking lot or driving a blok away from the school kids should have this as a warning device not to get in these cars with these plates.
  • Yes, then we could cut them off in traffic wherever they go! LOL
  • You mean Branding is not an option?
  • No. If they are not about to repeat their offence, then all it would do is expose them to assaults and rudeness. If they are about to repeat their crimes, they are not so stupid that they cannot get false number plates or cover them up. It would be a recipe for lynch law, and preclude any chance of rehabilitation. If you mark someone out as a criminal, you almost force them to become one.
  • No that would put other people who use the car at risk for vigilante violence. A better solution would be to require a permanent tattoo, such as an "S" on the back of their hand, or something like that.
  • The scarlet letter thing died out a long time ago. No.
