  • Well that definitelly depends on the landlord, I personally don't even check credit score. Just pay first and last months rent plus deposit, and if tentant doesn't pay, they get evicted, and the month is already paid for, and as soon as that happens I put a for rent sign in front of the house, and in those 30 days there should be no problem finding another tentant.
  • It should be about 620 for rental properties unless it is high dollar apartment/condo. If you get turned down because of your credit score, remind the landlord that apartment rental data are not part of the typical credit score (FICO, Experian, etc.). So get a letter from a previous landlord that states you pay your rent on a regular basis and that should work. If he/she says that the credit score does include your rental payment history, tell him/her that he/she is wrong.
