  • Supporting a war is not the same as being Pro-War. People tend to only support a war when they believe there is no reasonable viable alternative. This is very much the case in the USA amongst the Christian right. There are exceptions to this rule. Someone who wishes to usher in messianic times may be pro-war because they believe that the war will fulfil a prophecy. This phenomena is not restricted to the Christian world, Iran's new nuclear negotiator has ties to a messianic group called "Hojattieh".
  • Nevets is correct as far as he goes, but he overlooks one very simple fact about our country that we take for granted but non-Americans may not know right off the top of their head. The pro-war contingency is mostly Conservatives. I'm not talking your normal Conservatives either; I am talking about frothing at the crotch flag-wavers. Well, a majority of them are also rather publicly Christian and like to try using God to back their positions on issues. It isn't exactly that Christians are pro-war so much as most pro-war people happen to be Christian. I know many anti-war Christians as well. Oh, and the pro-war Christians tend to be loud and/or have large advertising budgets and are quite good at getting themselves heard.
  • Not all are pro-war, but some are. Why, though? I don't know, I supose it's just the religion of peace and love at its finest.
  • Not all of us are. War is sometimes justifiable, but I would not say that this current war we are facing is. -In the Master's service. Thank you and God bless you!
