Having done both, I prefer the big crowd of strangers. I don't get nervous with a bigger crowd because I can put up a "forth wall" and pretend that they're not really there.. with people you know it's harder because the forth wall doesn't come so easy.

You might of meant sing to a big crowd of people you DO know or small crowd of people you DONT know?? It would make more sense anyway... Id rather sing to people i do know if i was good at singing, but with my voice...nah!
