  • I would think that they would rather forget him.
  • The more generous will remember him as a confused and angry person who probably had a lot of internal pain that others never saw. We all lash out at others sometimes when we can't find a way to be at home in the world, some people just lash louder than others.
  • As a lesson in human tolerance and the types of people in this world. Best that they NOT forget that people like that exist.
  • I think they will probably remember him with a mixture of feelings. I think many will pity the man so convinced of his own beliefs as to actively condemn others. I think that most will remember his legacy of spreading the hate with remorse that he ever did so. One can feel compassion for the individual without condoning or agreeing with that individuals beliefs or actions.
  • someone who always pisses-off people.
  • As a greedy, intolerant, self-righteous soul, with a hateful heart -- A man who fostered ignorance and hate, combined church and politics, for personal power and glory.
  • They will remember him as the fool that persecuted Tinky Winky.
  • He was an bitter, delusional, hate-filled man who did nothing but try to cast doubt and blame on the innocent.
  • Im not nice. a bigot ingnorant fool who I hope is rotting in the darkest regions of the netherworld
  • You know what they said about New Orleans? About the rampant homosexuality in N.O. (since when? How is N.O more gay than any other city?) and hurricane Purification (Katrina means purity/purification) that God sent against such an evil city of homos. This was not an isolated incident... I heard and read that so many times, from so many sources amongst evangelicals/pentecostals. Are they completely insane?
  • As a Christian I dont see him speaking for me and my God. He clearly has issues. I consider homosexuality and heterosexuality as having their own bondages and burdens that we have to moderate same as overeating and resentfulness and anger. Homosexuality brings out of the closet other people's resenfulness and prejudices. I think nothing reveals more about other people's bondage that such blatant hate for this somehow aberrant lifestyle. Its so telling of people's natures. Falwell is not someone I would look to to edify my faith. I believe the gay community would do better to look at Jesus Christ rather than Falwell.
  • Many evangelical preachers drive more people away from God than welcome them. I wonder at times how men of god?? can say they know anything about the God the Loving God that I know.Perhaps they will be remembered as unGodly men. I hope not
