  • Because he does, and most people believe that more people are like them than actually are. Because you tend to hang out with people like yourself, the world seems much fuller of people like yourself than it actually is. The political weight if fundamentalists is much greater than their numbers justify. There are a lot of non-fundamentalist believers, and a lot of non-believers, but with few exceptions these people tend to keep quite and go about their lives without making waves. This leaves the noisy fundamentalists looking much more significant then they are.
  • It seems clear enough that he does, from one point of view anyway. Our current, regressive President, George W. Bush, who weaves a narrative about himself as a man of God and regards himself as a Messianic figure chosen by God to lead the United States Of America, suffers from severely distorted perceptions of reality, and he has actively shown that he is so clueless and far from a greater understanding of the fundamental concepts of freedom, not to mention the First Amendment to the American Constitution. George W. Bush does not seem to see through his foggy vision that most Americans consider their religious beliefs to be personal and outside the domains of governmental interference -- He doesn’t understand that most Americans want women to have control over their own reproductive systems, that gay men and Lesbians must have their rights protected, not restricted by the government. The list is endless -- The blur through which George Walker Bush sees his ‘faith-based presidency’, which appears headed for colossal historical disgrace, could fill volumes -- Honestly, if I were God, I'd be pissed!
  • He is very narrow minded. Nothing he does or believes impresses me much anymore. He believes many things that end up being... whatever i'm making myself mad again for that guy. *sigh*
  • I don't care what that idiot believes because he says he talks to god and that's a whacko in my book!
