I don't see American Football matches outside of North America ever being more than novelty events. The game is just too regimented and statistics-driven to appeal to an audience more used to free flowing and less rigidly organised games like rugby and football.

I think it could potentially be a great interest-generator if done say once a season... however I don't see a one-off game, even a competitive league fixture, making any great difference and attracting the average non-NFL-loving Brit to the game. ESPECIALLY since the game itself is a stinker involving the Dolphins... they aren't even sending the stars of the NFL to sell the game... who is seriously going to fall in love with the game the way the Dolphins play it nowadays?!?!?
