When something good happens to people. Why is it appropriate to say I'm going to Disneyland or Disney World? Aren't there better places to go and celebrate?

I thought people said that because it costs so much to go there that you almost have to win a lottery to afford it. It's okay there, but I really enjoy natural wonders or historical sites.

I was looking at going to Orlando after Thanksgiving, and it was going to cost $500 for my wife and I just in tickets for 5 days!!! Screw Mickey and his gang of miscreants. I think people still say it because Disney/ABC will thrash them if they don't.

Super Bowl MVP's said it for years in their post game interviews because they were paid very well for saying it.

People have said that because it is like a reward after doing well. A treat to ones self of having extreme enjoyment after working so hard.

It actually started with someone saying it after winning the superbowl when someone asked, " You just won the superbowl, what are you going to do now?" and they said they were going to disneyland. then every year it became the automatic response for someone to say after they won the game, then Disney grabbed onto it and made it a commercial for themselves.
