Currently this idea is in limbo, and some say it never was a doctrine. This contradicts whatthe nuns told me in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in St. Peter's School many, many years ago. To go along with the current idea requires me to defy those nuns who still control my id, if not my libido.
