I live in New Zealand. I will love to travel US sometime but I don't think there is any place better than NZ to live in. It is peaceful, calm here. Just the way I like it
-
I wouldn't live there permanantly but I wouldn't mind working in the US for the summer. Maybe in San Diego because i've been there already.

60sRock, your question sounds a bit cheauvinistic to me, and I am very much a Yank. We know the people who are trying (and succeeding) to break into this country. But, it would be a mistake to think that 'all' people would or might prefer to live here than where they are. I love this country, as it is where I was born and grew up. I put my life on the line for it, as did so many others. My brothers, and my father, and all uncles. My grandfather, his father, and his. Virtually every war this country has known had my ancestors in it. I would love to visit Scotland. Several relatives have. It is where we all came from. Everyone comes from somewhere. My family just happens to know exactly where they came from. As much as I love this country, I would really like to retire and live in Scotland. And I know exactly where I would like to live. I don't know what the possibilities are, but I am going to check. So, it is not everyone who wants to come to the U.S. And some of us would like to "migrate back" if we can. Strange? No, I don't think so. We are a very mobile society now, worldly speaking. I would just like to see the world peaceful and civilised enough to allow people to live in peace and ...joy...wherever they are.....Please, God, let it happen.

No, it's good for a holiday but I think there's too many guns and too much violence to want to live there permanantly. I'd like to emigrate to Southern France, it seems really chilled out there. I'm in England.
-
I live in Wales, or as you Americans call it, England. I'm sure living in America would be fine enough, but the way Americans yell all the time might get a little irritating.

I live in Canada now but I would like to move to the US becuase I've got some good friends down there. The only thing is that Canada is more relaxed.
-
No. The US is a great place to visit (I been there twice for a total of 4 months and I would love to go back again). But I value a few of the freedoms I have here in Norway too much to move to a country where I do not have them. I am also much safer here than I would be there. Not only due to terrorist attacks, but due to gang warfare and random crimes too.

Well, i live in Mexico, and i'd like to live a few years at US but not my whole life 'cause i disagree with some aspects of the US

I think I'd prefer to live in New Zealand. New Zealand is supposed to be much less corrupt than the US. It also has a nice climate and I agree with the politics there more so than the politics of the US. They drive on the correct side of the road too, always a bonus. On the other hand, my partner lives in the US and we've decided it's better for us to live there than in my home country of England due to ties in the US, economics etc. Plus in the US you've got all sorts of climates to live in if you so wish, from Alaska to Hawaii. So forgetting the fact I'm dating an American, I'd be happy to live in the US, but I wouldn't be devastated if I never.
