I don't really remember the last time I had a serious bet going. I would imagine I bugged the person in a kidding fashion at least several times simply to be able to crow over it. The only 'real' bets I've done are at the OTB, back in the day. I had fun handicapping horses. :)

Yes, it happened last night! I bet a girl that I would provide her a laptop by the end of the weekend. If I lost, I would have paid $100. If I won, which I did (I suppose), I would get a certain favor. Then...she took the laptop and I got nothing! Didn't want to cry and whine about it, but that was BS...I took a huge risk getting out of my building, I used my free time ON THE WEEKEND to work on it, I installed additional memory and gave her a mouse with it...All for naught! I got jobbed! Oh well, sure won't be betting (or providing free gifts) for her very often from now on. JD
