Yes, I can. I've done it before but never by choice. When I left the country and while in boot camp I couldn't use my phone, after a little while it didn't bother me so much. Doesn't mean I WANT to go without it, of course! :)

I do not text. We (the Spousal Unit and I) do have cell phones. We carefully weighed the pro's and cons and decided to get rid of the 20th century 'land line' and go for the 21st century form of telecommunication. Since my cell phone is my only phone and all by business calls come through they I could live for a short while without it, however without the clients being able to reach me we would be in poverty in a month or so.

Yes :)
-
I could live without it. It certainly would not cause me to die an untimely death if I gave them up. Howeverm I do enjoy them and take advantage of their functions!
-
I need the cell,but texting,to me,is useless.
-
Can't live without my cell phone - it's the only way for me to be always available for my daughters. I can live without texting - I rarely use it.
-
You might not believe me, but the truth is that EVERYONE could live with cell phones and texting. The history books are full of thousands of years where people existed without cell phones. Crazy, huh? I don't use my cell as much as most people, but I still like to have it. It makes life much more convenient (most of the time.) However, I could imagine a worse scenario than life without cellular technology.

Nope, i'm on the road a lot for work, and work rings me about 5 times a day. I'd feel 'disconnected' if i didn't have my mobile.

-
At the moment I can't, because I'm waiting for calls from the 150+ jobs I applied to. On a normal day I hardly use the thing.

-
Yes , I hate it. Only decided to get one a little while back and now understand why I was never interested. People become enslaved to them.
-
Probably, but lets not test this theory.
-
Not only that I had the house phone removed because of people calling every time I sat down. I got so frustrated I jerked it out of the wall and sent in a letter saying I didn't need their service anymore.
-
neva!

Yes. Sometimes I just shut the stupid thing off :o)

Yes. The only reason I really use it is whenever I feel awkward, I just look through my phone. I prefer to talk on the phone anyway, not text.
