Maybe they're in a hurry...
-
rush here, rush there... no patience to wait it out so BLAM, the little timy machine gets plowed by the giant train.
-
Good question Scooter. I guess they don't watch the news. I have always had a fear a train collision. People need to try and think of the stop, as a break or relaxing time. So many things can be done while waiting on a train.
-
Probably impatience, and the arrogance of thinking "it won't happen to ME."

Scooter offers ILMB a magnifying glass to assist in reading between the lines. But I'm not saying, because it doesn't exist. Damn I did it again.
-
They try to beat the train because they are impatient and stupid.
-
News? What is this strange thing of which you speak?" they seem to think...they're too egotisical to think anything bad could ever happen to them.
-
Usually they are in a hurry to get to an appointment or event. But sometimes, they are just plain impatient...

I don't know why they do that...and it makes me sad. :( Just a month or so ago, my last s/o and I were on the way to my house and we were stuck in what we thought was traffic....turns out everybody was waiting for the railroad crossing to get cleared because a diesel had been hit by the train...it was horrible and I hope the driver lived... :(
