  • A-holes don't recognize that they are such!!! So, you are not, okay? People commit mistakes.
  • The fact that you feel so bad means you have a good heart and a conscience. It's OK to forgive yourself. I hope Kaa is better! Where do I send the get-well wish?
  • You're not an a-hole, but you have been inattentive, and it's entirely appropriate to feel bad about that. Obviously you care, the question is whether you're organizing your life consciously to make sure it doesn't happen again, and whether you're learning from the mistake -- I suggest a good lesson to work on is "taking care of the basics in life"... e.g. taking out the trash, paying the bills, taking care of the snake... These are things that are easy to neglect, but they're the bread-and-butter of being responsible. So feel bad, but get over it, and re-commit to doing better. That's what being human is all about.
  • perhaps you realized that you are not responsible enough to own pets - or maybe it was a simple mistake -my opinion is - it is only a snake but i am sure it means much more to you - i bet it will not happenn again
  • You're not an a-hole. It was a mistake, everyone ,makes mistakes. Just take her to the vet and keep an eye on her. I hope she's ok.
  • Hey you, long time no see - have you been ok or have i just not seen you around? Listen mistakes and accidents happen, dont get upset about it. If Kaa is fine then its ok, lets be honest if she was in the wild and fell she would survive im sure... its ok.. really it is. Have some ((((hugs)))) and cheer up xx
  • Learn from it and move on. I am hoping that you are both much recovered from the ordeal. I'm sending her get well wishes and a lock for the top of her cage. (((get well wishes for Kaa)))♥
  • OK sweetcakes, here they are...Crap. I thought that I had more on my computer but they must be on the one at home. I'll Dl them tonight & add another asnwer tomorrow.
  • I don't think that makes you a bad person every one makes mastakes. As long as you learned from it and don't do it again your fine. I own a snake my self a grey motely corn snake and I love her to death. The only thing I can tell you is watch what you do. You treat that snake wronge it will bit treat and handle it right it will bw the niceist pet you'll ever have.
  • I'm not gonna lie. Your probably an a-hole. Every good man knows you have to take care of your snake. Good luck.
  • Whatever hurt your snake, it wasn't a fall. Any snake is too light to be hurt by a 7-foot fall.
  • Mistakes happen, but you are very lucky she didn't die... I'm in the Fox Valley Herpetology Club, and show our snakes. Unfortunately if someone holding your snake freaks and drops them, it can kill them (know from experience). I would suggest getting a cage that has locking hinges. Many pet stores carry them. They are a little on the expensive side, but it will save you froma dead snake or expensive vet bills. Anything a snake can fit its head in, it can get out of!
  • I dont know if youre an a-hole or not, but you should try and be more responsible. Snakes shouldnt be falling though. You might wanna take to a Vet that treats reptiles, there could be something wrong that caused the fall. However, if you are keeping the snake in a dark closet you just may be an a-hole. Snakes should be housed in a tank longer than their body lenght.
  • Well something like that happened to me I whould say hold off on going to the Vet. snakes are tough Reptiles it might beable to shake it off. exoticreptilian,
  • I'm so sorry is she ok u can tell me
  • I will. It is OK and you are not the scum of the earth. You are human and you make mistakes from time to time - just as the rest of us do. And that is what this was, an accident and not intentional. Right now you are wracked with guilt and that is understandable and while it feels dreadful, it actually means that you really do care for this animal. Pet ownership is not always so easy. Snakes crawl about - that is what they do and sometimes they get into a bit of bother. Don't beat yourself up because your beloved animal is OK - he/she just had a bit of an accident and that is not your fault nor the snakes fault. Shit happens and sometimes we can do nothing about it happening. Now, know this: you would be a complete asshole if you did NOT feel bad, if you DID NOT feel like the scum of the Earth and felt nothing much at all. Your guilt and upset serve to show that you do care - and that is what's important here. You are OK. You do not suck. You care about this creature, and you care deeply enough to be tormented with guilt and that, is the mark of a decent, caring individual and a good pet owner. In my book, that makes you 100% OK. Got it?
  • hello, nah, youre okay, it was just an accident, snakes are curious and maybe kaa wanted to have a look around, i hope kaa is going to be okay.
