Supersizeme hit this one on the mark. You don't say whether you were told this or this was on a report that your doctor got back after your ultrasound. Usually women with dense breast tissue can't rely on mammograms alone, ultrasound is often ordered to help distinquish what the radiologist is looking at. Was an MRI of the breasts ordered? This may be another option for you if they have determined that the ultrasound was not helpful.
