  • You probably can, but I don't think you should. That would really be putting a whole lot of strain on your hair due to over-processing. If it were me, I think I'd get the perm first, and have the color done a week or so later. To be sure, ask a stylist (I'm not one.)
  • Only if you want to go bald!
  • No No No NO!!! I am the category on AB here for a reason missy. =) Do not do it. It is too harsh to your hair... I suggest dying it first and waiting at least 2-3 weeks to perm. Discuss this with your hair dresser!!!
  • You could, but it's not recommended. First, it's extremely damaging to your hair to use that many chemicals. Also, the chemicals in both the products have the possibility of undoing some of the work you just put in. Say you color your hair first. Then you put in the chemicals for the perm and some of the color comes out. Or you perm first, and then color and the water and having your head soaked are likely to make the curls undo so you just have a light wave, wasting time, money and of course damaging your hair. I suggest waiting a few days, doing intense conditioning to get some strength back, and let your natural oil hang out on your head for a couple of days. Your hair will thank you for it! Oh and worst case scenario: you could actually cause some of your hair to fall out. It takes longer but waiting is best.
  • i have a client that want a perm and a colour. which would i do first???
  • yes you can! use a semi-permanent color for relaxed hair.
  • BELIEVE ME, IF U PERM AND COLOR U WILL GO BALD! NO QUESTIONS ASKED. DONT EVA DO IT. UNLESS ITS A SEMI COLOR...
  • i have natural hair...a,nd i want to color and perm it right now....can i do both and be fine since no chemicals werre in theree initially
  • hmmmmm i'd say yes, but only if you die it efore your perm it
  • please dont, unless you want to rock the michael jordan look for awhile
  • Sure you Can... But I wouldn't... Not unless you are taking the long way to going bald?
  • hey i just got a perm this friday and i was told that you should NOT dye your hair before your perm as the hair wont curl and you cannot do it straight after the perm because you would have to wash your hair afterwards and you can only wash your hair after 48 hours after getting perm so after a week you could probly dye your hair once the curl is set. :) hope that helps
  • not unless you still want hair
  • Perm first, then color!! The perm has peroxide that will alter the color results drastically! Just go to a salon if you dont know!!
  • No, you should wait 2 weeks between treatments.
  • No way..too many harsh chemicals entering the cortex/medulla..You WILL have serious damage to your scalp as well as your hair.
  • I dyed my hair. How long do I wait until I get a perm?
