No, I can't think of any AB friends who care enough about points to want gratuitous points.

No I honestly do not think that I have. I mark questions and answers as I go along . I do not look at profiles and have no idea how close a person is to the next level.

Yes I have. I would have given them those points anyway, and I do select answers that are good. I don't think there's anything wrong with this. Eventually you run out of points and there isn't any way around that. Well, I guess if you have multiple sock puppet accounts there's a way around it, but I consider that cheating.

I purposely give points to any questions or answers that are helpful to me by way of knowledge or brightening my day. If that happens to be at a time when they are close to another level.. so be it :)

I give points accordingly as I come in contact with questions and answers. I don't look at ones profiles and I don't know what the different levels are called. Very rare would I read others answers before I post my own. If the question is a good one and one where I could learn something from, I would read all the answers. I particularly love reading Stableboy's answers because they are always great.
