  • All I have to do is say the word "food" and I have two kitties more than willing to follow right behind me.
  • Actually I can communicate with my dog easily. He knows so many things, it amazes me. Such as: treat, go for a ride, go next door, Shelley, bath, food, coffee, bed, Spike and Peggy, zip it. And he responds accordingly to each item. It's pretty hilarious, I can spell any of the above items, and he leans his head to one side. Like he thinks he should know what I'm spelling. I know sooner or later he'll figure them out.
  • Of course. I send him mental messages telepathically.
  • When my dog barks and I step out the back door and say, "SHUT UP, GOOFBALL!" He gets quiet and all is well. He understands me. I love it when a plan comes together.
  • Yup, if I say bath the beagle races under the bed at the speed of light...
  • Yupper...cats, dogs and the birds...each has unique ways of communicating with us. Emily, my Congo African Gray Parrot TALKS...she uses human words correctly, asks her own questions..."Laura, whatcha doin?" I'm cooking dinner. "Oh, ok, I love you!" If the dog is barking, Emily may choose to say, "Hannah, shhhhh, No (then she barks like the dog). The dogs I communicate with via mental images, sign language/hands, verbal commands, body language and eye contact..facial expressions. The cats...by saying that particular cat's name...the tone of voice when I do that...followed by possible hand movements/signs...gestures...pointing the direction I would like the cat to go or come to. Occasionally they'll respond to words...but with the cats...it's more purely according to THEIR MOOD at the moment!
