How does withdrawal from anti-anxiety drugs effect you? Anyone with experience in drug withdrawal may respond with their story.

I've never had anti-anxiety medication withdrawal but I did go through Effexor withdrawl and it was the worst 4 weeks ever. Vertigo, extreme tiredness, balance problems, brain shocks that radiate through your body, a strange electrical sounding buzzing in my head, auditory hallucinations, nightmares, severe nausea and vomiting, and a feeling like your head and arms are too heavy for your body...it's not pleasant.

- I tried effexor, and the side effects were too much for me. One week, and I was miserable. But your withdrawal sounds severe in comparison. Personally, I never found an anti-depressant that made any positive difference. In clinical trials they are only marginally better than placebos or so it seems. But it anyone finds relief, terrific! You have to keep living!.....pts.
