    Tha Silly One

Amazingly enough my coworkers laughed at me all week last week because I had a stalker gnat.

I saw it on Sunday morning and every single day that thing was in my face. We weren't sure of a gnats lifespan but I'm pretty sure that gnats entire family hated me for some reason. I threw out a banana that was looking kind of old. I wonder if they were waiting on it to go rotten.

It gave me a complex. I started smelling myself... lol

Yes I do & gnats, I hate them buggers. They have a whole house to fly about but nooooooooo they want to 'bug' you instead tempting their fate. So
I got those ugly fly strips & that usually takes care of them.

That's called fly ego, and it's the one time you should ever really have to kill a fly.

I was wondering if the reason flies or gnats "stalk" certain people had anything to do with odor. It seems that they are attracted to smells, so why wouldn't smell be the reason they seek out certain individuals? This is not said in a derogatory manner nor meant to hurt anyone's feelings. Nor is it saying that anyones smells "bad". I just think that the insects "sense" a body odor that draws them to a person (sweat, natural body odor, pheremones, etc.). Some chemical or combination of chemicals may be at work here.

Also, I noticed that gnats are drawn to mirrors, glass, straws left in drinks like lemonade, sweet tea, pop, orange juice, etc. I managed to smite a lot of them on the glass of my storm door. They seemed to be drawn to the light outside and landed on the panes. Since there was no reflection, they were quite easy to pick off and they kept on coming! They are drawn to light, I find. I left my house door open and they came to the only source-that storm door! Me and a spray bottle of Clorox went to work! I am patient. It paid off. They multiply quickly but since they don't pay the mortgage or grocery bill-I do! Guess whose got to pack up and get out? It sure as heck ain't me!
