My husband has always chosen the job that kept him happier and it's been fine with me. We ahve had paycuts by half twice, but since he was happy, I was happy. And that was all that mattered. Money is a necessary evil but if we can do it we go for happy every time.

I make gooood money and hate the peolple I work with, it's small little office, and for the past 7 and 1/2 years I have decided to stay and suffer the emotional abuse, because I don't want to start over at a new place with less money. By chosing this, it has affected my emotional well being, and physical wellness.

Financial stress is better than having to kiss ass. Besides, you don't have to be at the top to get what you want in life - you just have to be sneaky enough.

I just cannot work for people for whom I have no respect. It grates on me until it becomes unbearable. I'll happily take the lesser paying job, if it means being happier. +5
