Nice, if you don't need a real person to finish your order. It works quite well in Home Depot. But it sure didn't work in KMart.

I love self check out. I'm more likely to go to a store that has it even if it's more pricey than to go to a cheaper store that doesn't. I'm not a big people person.
-
I beats waiting in line. There are a lot of features that need to be added before it's my preferred way to check out.

I like 'em. I used to be a cashier (waaaay back in high school and college,) and I think I can do a better job with my own stuff, especially when it comes to bagging the items. No more canteloupes on top of my bread!

I think that if I use the self-checkout, I should get a discount. It saves the company an employee's salary, so the least they could do is pass some of the savings on to me.
-
I like them. No more cashiers pretending they care if you had a good day or not. I like doing things for myself.

I hate them. I avoid using them as much as possible. I used one at Home Depot and the bucket I bought didn't scan right and I had to wait for the goof that stands there watching what goes on there had to go and scan it in for me. Kind of defeats the purpose. Then there is how picky the machine is. You have to put your items in the spot where the bags are put or it won't let you continue. How annoying.

Hate it never use it

I'm not crazy about them, because I usually write checks at the grocery, and they still have to have a checker standing by to authorize checks. I might as well get in the regular line, which I do.
