Was there a time when society wasn't sensitive to what people say? What do you call censorship? But, in any case, I don't give a flip what anyone says or thinks of me. Well, usually I don't, unless it's someone I love. But the only people who will think of me negatively are people who don't know me. So why should I care?

Question is, is why is society pretentious enough to say what's what. It's the government too, they want to tell us what to think, what to say, what we can't say, what to spend our money on, and so forth. And thus, the whole country and Americans are the same way, if you don't follow what MTV says, or what Paris Hilton says, or any stupid boy bands say, then something must be wrong with you. Or you are then put into a class, if you where black, you must be a goth, but they never consider the fact that you might just like the color black. It's pethedic... I live my life how I want to, and for somereason it pisses people off.

I think that the question should be why have people become so insensitive to what they do and say. The sensitivity you may have noticed is a backlash of the more insensitive society of the times.

i believe that society is less sensitive now as opposed to twenty years ago. some people or groups of people (i won't name any) will always be more sensitive than others.
