  • Could be that she is just sleeping so soundly she doesn't realize she has to go. Start limiting her liquids in the evening. Try nothing to drink after dinner, except maybe a sip of water just before bed if she's persistent . But take away all the milke/juice/soda, etc, in the evening and make sure she doesn't go to bed with a sippy cup. Continue with having her go to the bathroom just before bed. If that doesn't help, try pull-ups for awhile at night. If she was glad to be potty trained, and didn't like the diapers, she won't like them, and she'll be back to her normal routine quickly.
  • This problem is not uncommon. It can be brought on by a change in routine that is making her more tired than normal, a growth spurt (they can cause changes in many ways), anxiety about something in her life, or perhaps a urinary tract infection. If she's not urinating more frequently during the day, you can probably rule that one out. Try keeping her off caffiene completely (it's a diuretic), avoiding liquids the last two hours or so before bedtime, and maybe spending a few extra minutes with her before bed to help her feel secure as she falls asleep. If you are not with her all day, asking her questions about her day, activities, and the people around her will help you determine if she's getting stressed out about something she hasn't told you yet. Good luck.
  • This is so frustrating! I can't really add to what the others have said so far, they've both given really good advice. I've been there, and you just have to be patient! And definately don't get angry with her or make a big deal about it!
  • i have been having the same problem with my 3 year old son, each time he has an "accident" in bed, i just say...oop's oh! well maybe next time, i have been doing this for weeks and in this last week we have had 3 "accident" free nights....i also put him on the potty between 9.30 and 10pm, he is usually half asleep and i don't think he even notices what i am doing, it may take a few weeks but works....lost of praise when you have an "accident" free night.....maybe a star chart...a small treat for each dry night, if she has more than 3 dry nights a slightlier bigger treat...like mcdonalds...my son willdo anything for chicken nuggets, carrots and a milkshake...lol...GOOD LUCK
  • i have been through this with all three of my kids, no matter what age they are potty trained they still have accidents. these things happen i would do everything your doing but i would also add a waterproof matress pad till you know your in the clear. saves your matress.
