  • Did you do your research? If so you would know that the Galactica is a battle hardened battle station designed solely for making war. Other than being slightly larger, carrying far many more personnel and having fighters that can out move the Galaxy Class Enterprise. its weapons are designed to take out Cylon sized mother ships which are tougher and more armored than the peaceful Flag Ship of the Federation. The Enterprise is NOT a war ship, although she is able to defend herself her mission has been and we hope always shall be one of peaceful exploration. As such she is no match for a vessel designed for war. Although she does have photon torpedoes and phasers and the transporter (transporting bombs into the Galactica?) She would show up on Dradus fairly early and a squadron or two of fighters would be well on their way dodging and swooping faster than a transporter beam can be locked on, and faster than torpedos and phasers can move about. Every instance we see of the Enterprise in battle is against slow moving (relatively speaking) vessels - not the fast one man fighter craft as we find on Galactica. I'm not saying that Galactica would come out clean, she would most likely be beyond repair what with transported torpedoes deep inside her hull... still the fighters would finish off the Enterprise - most likely targeting the obvious propulsion nacelles and we all know how warp reactors go up in a blaze of glory with just one shot....
  • Kiss the Galactica goodbye. One quick phaser salvo while zipping by at warp 9 and the pyramid helemeted people would never know what hit them. Scotty wouldn't even need to hook the jumper cables up to the matter/anti-matter pods.
