If Jay had one a shirt where you could see his he would. Probelly didn't help he also had long hair and wore a leather jaket. Everyone assumed he was in a biker gang.

I don't have many visible tattoos but I do have several on my left forearm. I don't know what people think from after but up close I don't get many adverse reactions because I don't think they're very intimidating tattoos. They're some silly cartoon characters. So basically I think it depends on the images and then maybe other factors such as clothing and attitude.

I answered to your last question, I said I find excessive tats unattractive (Like the whole arm thing ect.). But it doesn't make me afraid or anything like that. I don't think one can look at a person and say he's covered in ink so therefore he is_______. By the way I have 3 tats.

Tattoo artists always have loads of tattoo! If people know that, they'll understand. It's like some assistant at clothes shops have to wear those clothes. For other people though, tattoos can be an addiction just like anything else.

THere is a distinct different look to quality ink and jail house ink. I have had pastors that had alot of jailhouse ink that were not intimidating .because of there countanance and their persona. I have done time and was involved in gang life, so I look the way I was. But I have changed alot and live a different life now. it keeps some people away. But the friends I have are REAL. alot of my boys are tat artists, and there ink is off the hook. Chances are people would look at you as an artist and not assume negatively towards you.for me, mine help me to connect to people, or kids coming off the streets that need help and a friend to identify with.so if I had a chance I would not change my appearence.

When I was younger, yes I have to admit that guys with tattoos covering their bodies scared me. But my uncle looks like a Harley Biker with long hair & tattoos & he is a sweetheart. He takes me to the local pub with all the bikers tattoo types & EVERY SINGLE ONE is a perfect gentleman

Getting a tattoo must hurt like heck. Anyone who goes out of his/her way to be in pain must be pretty tough. Tough equates to fearsome in some people's minds. I'm a wimp, I'd never get a tattoo because of the pain/discomfort/agony factor. So I'd be no threat to anyone (my age and grey hair may have something to do with that as well)! I did meet a sweetheart of a guy who was covered with tattoos on his arms and neck..changed how I feel about people with tattoos..but I still think they're tough dudes/dudettes! :)

Yes. People are so scared of anything different. I often stare at tattoos and will sometimes ask someone about them. It's not because I'm scared but because I'm interested. Some people look down at them. Whatever, at least you are brave!

I am not saying that people are afraid of people who are covered with tattoos , but they do have a particular stereotype in mind Prison Hard Nuts Not a good background The police love tattoos people with them are so easy to identify.
-
if people react that way then they are judging the book by its cover.........that's wrong. the only one's i might be worried about would be the teardrops by someones eyes....i've heard it means that person has killed someone. i am not sure if this is true. if i see someone with on, i might just go ask them what it means. i absolutely love tattoos.

I'm not afraid of tattooed people,I'm afraid of bad artwork.

I've got some visble work done on my arms, (and i'm female) and i do get many different reactions, the weird looks, the stink eye, as i like to call it. I also have people that literally grab my arm to look at it. It bites sometimes but its alright. Just a weird invasion of personal privicy

No. I know alot of people coverd with tattoos that go to church and some of the tattoos are gross but they're nice people.
-
No. I think tattoos are hot, minus a few exceptions.

I can't say I have any tattoos yet, but on a smaller scale: As a teenager with facial piercings I can definitely say I get negative reactions. From older people, they assume I'm a troublemaker who will get their kids in trouble. From my peers, they assume I'm a party-er, a pothead, or a junky.

I grew up in Savannah, so whenever I see a guy with tattoos, I think of the many and extremely attractive guys at Scad. So tattoos are absolutely sexy.
