It is. This probably happens with a long distance relationship because the couple might talk on the phone the whole time because they cannot see each other. You can fall in love with someone's voice, but I don't say that it is possible to fall in love with someone because of their voice.

Olivia Newton John's voice (70's) put me into a spiraling tizzy fit complete with drooling and hives.
If she sang "Have you never been mellow?" directly into my ear, I would pee myself.
If in the same voice, she said "Nitroduck, you big stud, kiss me or lose me forever"...

I had sent a soldier a "goodie" box full of useful things. I got a phone call back of thanks and we continued to speak to each other over time. He had the most incredible voice as well as how he spoke and what he said. I had no idea what he looked like but kinda drew up a picture in my mind what he might have looked like.
