  • No, what is it? I love new things..
  • Shabu shabu is usually expensive here in Japan if you eat out so we only have it a few times a year. It is usually served in upscale Shabu Shabu specialty shops and serve high quality marbled beef such as Matsuzaka-gyu or Kobe-gyu. I perfer the Gomadare for the beef and the Ponzu for the vegetables, harusame, and tofu but for a change of taste, ponzu for the beef is refreshing. After finishing the vegetables and beef, you have a "broth" left over so many restaurants will serve a cup of the broth adding salt and pepper to taste and also some noodles. Either Kishimen or Udon.
  • I've tried it! I'm a really picky eater and don't like new things, so I modified eat when eating it, but I loved it.
