Yes, but we don't really go door-to-door we usually walk in the street and see if a house got decoration and is well lid up before going to the house. Or we mostly go to halloween parties

A lot of churchs, schools, and communities have Halloween parties where kids can play games and get candy safely. Also, a lot of parents drive their children around to houses where they know the people and therefore feel comfortable with their kids trick or treating there.

My neighborhood gets tons of trick-or-treaters... I generally buy 6 or more pounds of candy - some years I've worried I was running out. Our area gets lots of kids from neighboring areas - we're seen as being "richer" and so kids from struggling neighborhoods are often brought in for better "loot" - doesn't bother me much - we are fairly elaborate in our holiday decoration - so the house draws lots of people anyway.

In the neighborhood where I live, if the weather is nice, we'll get over 100 children. Most are accompanied by an adult or two.
-
some trick or treat, and some just throw gross stuff at your house
