I heard on a radio that a city here in california is looking to pass a law where smoking is prohibited in all PUBLIC places in that city. Do you think it would pass?

Yes. It passed here in Massachusetts and the lung cancer rate has dropped. (Some of our surrounding New England states also have taken up this new ban.) I think with such supporting evidence in favor, it's probable your state will follow suit. It's funny. When I was a smoker and travelled outside of Massachusetts, I used to yell at people for smoking inside, forgetting it wasn't banned in all states. :) Sincerely, The One Who Quit

No dice. I think that has no way of passing in California. Its CALIFORNIA!!! I was born there, lived all my life there... I highly doubt it.

I gave up smoking in January ( best thing I've done in my life ). Smoking was banned in public places in June in England and to be honest it has not caused that many problems , but then again we've got Winter to come and that will mean people smoking outside in inclement weather so it will be interesting.
