Help answer this question below.
In actuality the words are typically synonomous...but as for how their used in reality, drugs are usually not for any type of health gain (and usually illegal) and medicine is used for treating conditions.
They are the same things, however, it depends on how you use them. All medicines are 'drugs' if one was to abuse the medicine then thats 'drug abuse'.
While the two terms can be synonyms, i.e., a substance ingested to treat a disease or medical condition, they are different in a broader sense.
The word drug always refers to a substance that is used to alter the mind or the body of the person or animal consuming it. A drug may be used for medical, spiritual, or recreational purposes. The term may be used to describe both addictive and non-addictive substances, within the purview of recreational drugs. In this context, it often has a negative connotation.
The word medicine can refer to the practice of disease prevention and cure (e.g., a doctor practices medicine) and the science of drugs (e.g., drug research and development), rather than medical activities such as surgery or physiotherapy.
Medicine is a natural herbal and/or herb that cures
sickness and disease. Drugs are man made concoctions
that are brewed up in a laboratory. A drug could be
plant compound that is altered by chemicals to make
something new. Example Ephedrine is natural and comes
from Mai Huang, when you alter it and create Meth you
just created a drug. Now if you smoke or eat marijuana
you used a medicine. You do not alter the compounds in
marijuana so it is not a drug. A drug is anything you
can change or alter the molecular structure to create
a new compound. Whereas Medicine is natural and herbal.
a drug is the raw material that may be benfit aur harmaful in different way.
but a medicine is the any dosage form which we prepare from the drug [raw material] for the purpose of medication
God-damn, most of these answers can be ignored immediately.
If this is meant in the pharmacological sense, the drug is the active ingredient within the medicine (e.g. paracetamol, phenoxymethylpenicillin), whereas the medicine is the drug PLUS all the other inactive ingredients, such as fizzing agents, colouring agents, flavouring agents and so on.
all the medicines are drugs but all the drugs are not medicine.whereas the drugs made person addict and medicines cure the patient.
Drug
It is "a chemical substance used in the treatment, cure, prevention, or diagnosis of disease or used to otherwise enhance physical or mental well-being". Drugs may be prescribed for a limited duration, or on a regular basis for chronic disorders
Medicine

The drug is in the medicine. Medicine generally has other additives.
true difference
drug is the actual indriedient that is used in any medicine. a medicine is a mixture of drugs eg. in panadol tab. there is a paracitamol, calciem + ibuprofen and other drugs are used so a medicine formed
thnx
Generally this 2 types are same. So we should avoid this type of questions.
Actually drug is the crude form and medicine is the modified form.Usually medicine is only beneficial wheres drug may be both beneficial or harmful. There is also a major difference between drug and medicine. That is the doses form. The doses form of medicine is specific but drug is non-specific.
medicine treats an illness while drugs keep symptoms at bay
A drug is a single chemical substance in a medicine that alters the structure or function of some of the body's biological processes. A medicine is drug (or combination of drugs) that is intended to prevent illness, cure decease and pain relievers. Not all drugs are medicines, for example Alcohol and nicotine.
Adrfug is a pathological agent which when comes in contact with living organisms produces abiological effect. A surgery is a scientific study as distinguish from surgery.
A drug is the chemical basis for the production of a medicine.
a medicine is the finished product after a drug is manufactured for use as a cure, treatment or prevention of disease.
oh... it's good!
Aren't they synonymous?
A medical drug is used to cure infections and diseases, they are prescribed by your GP. Whereas a social drug can cause hallucinations , slows down reactions and can also cause problems with the brain. No-one knows why people take illegal drugs but people who have experienced drug use usually say that they took them to simply have a good time or the most common excuse was that they were peer pressured into taking them.
The same difference when I say potato and you potato.

drug and medicine are two different.drug is not specific to medication.it is any thing that affect body function.
while medicine is purely used for treeatment o0f a disease.drugs can be used as medicines, and ,similarly medicine,s negative use can make it drug.
Usually nothing.
A drug is any substance that acts on the body, the term "Medicine", in it's typical modern usage, refers to a drug which the modern medical establishment has seen fit to use in treatments.
Not all drugs are considered "Medicines", but just about any non-lethal drug has the potential to be used as one.
Generally, one is legal and the other is not, if your question leans toward an illegal drug question.
